Silver Lake is a thriving, hilly Los Angeles neighborhood east of Hollywood and just northwest of Downtown Los Angeles.
Named in 1906 for Water Board Commissioner Herman Silver, the Silver Lake area has an abundance of unique properties of all era’s but became a hotbed for Modern Architecture during the Mid Twentieth Century. Many Landmark structure still stand today including the home and offices of Architect Richard Neutra.

Silver Lake has developed a real sense of community accentuated by a multitude of hip and fashionable shops, bars, restaurants and events. The Sunset Junction Street Fair, weekly farmers market and the Silver Lake Reservoir itself offer residents the opportunity to get out, shop, mingle or enjoy outdoor activities.
The population consists of a wide variety of ethnic and socioeconomic groups, but has become best known in recent years for it’s eclectic mix of hipsters, the creative class, and significant LGBT community.
